Questions have been asked in
regards to the
"four
beasts
and
four
and
twenty
elders".
Rev
5:1-14
1
And
I
saw
in
the
right
hand
of
him
that
sat
on
the
throne
a
book
written
within
and
on
the
backside,
sealed
with
seven
seals.
2
And
I
saw
a
strong
angel
proclaiming
with
a
loud
voice,
Who
is
worthy
to
open
the
book,
and
to
loose
the
seals
thereof?
3
And
no
man
in
heaven,
nor
in
earth,
neither
under
the
earth,
was
able
to
open
the
book,
neither
to
look
thereon.
4
And
I
wept
much,
because
no
man
was
found
worthy
to
open
and
to
read
the
book,
neither
to
look
thereon.
5
And
one
of
the
elders
saith
unto
me,
Weep
not:
behold,
the
Lion
of
the
tribe
of
Juda,
the
Root
of
David,
hath
prevailed
to
open
the
book,
and
to
loose
the
seven
seals
thereof.
6
And
I
beheld,
and,
lo,
in
the
midst
of
the
throne
and
of
the
four
beasts,
and
in
the
midst
of
the
elders,
stood
a
Lamb
as
it
had
been
slain,
having
seven
horns
and
seven
eyes,
which
are
the
seven
Spirits
of
God
sent
forth
into
all
the
earth.
7
And
he
came
and
took
the
book
out
of
the
right
hand
of
him
that
sat
upon
the
throne.
8
And
when
he
had
taken
the
book,
the
four
beasts
and
four
and
twenty
elders
fell
down
before
the
Lamb,
having
every
one
of
them
harps,
and
golden
vials
full
of
odours,
which
are
the
prayers
of
saints.
9
And
they
sung
a
new
song,
saying,
Thou
art
worthy
to
take
the
book,
and
to
open
the
seals
thereof:
for
thou
wast
slain,
and
hast
redeemed
us
to
God
by
thy
blood
out
of
every
kindred,
and
tongue,
and
people,
and
nation;
10
And
hast
made
us
unto
our
God
kings
and
priests:
and
we
shall
reign
on
the
earth.
11
And
I
beheld,
and
I
heard
the
voice
of
many
angels
round
about
the
throne
and
the
beasts
and
the
elders:
and
the
number
of
them
was
ten
thousand
times
ten
thousand,
and
thousands
of
thousands;
12
Saying
with
a
loud
voice,
Worthy
is
the
Lamb
that
was
slain
to
receive
power,
and
riches,
and
wisdom,
and
strength,
and
honour,
and
glory,
and
blessing.
13
And
every
creature
which
is
in
heaven,
and
on
the
earth,
and
under
the
earth,
and
such
as
are
in
the
sea,
and
all
that
are
in
them,
heard
I
saying,
Blessing,
and
honour,
and
glory,
and
power,
be
unto
him
that
sitteth
upon
the
throne,
and
unto
the
Lamb
for
ever
and
ever.
14
And
the
four
beasts
said,
Amen.
And
the
four
and
twenty
elders
fell
down
and
worshipped
him
that
liveth
for
ever
and
ever.
(KJV)
Who
are
these
"four
and
twenty
elders"?
This
number
"24" is in regards to "the divisions of the sons of Aaron".
1
Chr
24:1-18
1
Now
these
are
the
divisions
of
the
sons
of
Aaron.
The
sons
of
Aaron;
Nadab,
and Abihu, Eleazar,
and Ithamar.
2
But
Nadab
and
Abihu
died
before
their
father,
and
had
no
children: therefore
Eleazar
and
Ithamar
executed
the priest's
office.
3
And
David
distributed
them,
both
Zadok
of
the
sons
of Eleazar,
and Ahimelech
of
the
sons
of Ithamar,
according
to
their
offices
in
their
service.
4
And
there
were
more
chief
men
found
of
the
sons
of
Eleazar
than
of
the sons
of
Ithamar;
and
thus
were
they
divided.
Among
the
sons
of
Eleazar
there
were
sixteen
chief
men
of
the
house
of
their
fathers,
and
eight
among the
sons
of
Ithamar
according
to
the
house
of
their
fathers.
5
Thus
were
they
divided
by
lot,
one
sort
with
another;
for
the
governors
of the
sanctuary,
and
governors
of
the
house
of
God,
were
of
the
sons
of Eleazar,
and
of
the
sons
of Ithamar.
6
And
Shemaiah
the
son
of
Nethaneel
the
scribe,
one
of
the
Levites,
wrote
them
before
the
king,
and
the
princes, and
Zadok
the
priest,
and
Ahimelech
the
son
of Abiathar,
and
before
the chief
of
the
fathers
of
the
priests
and Levites:
one
principal
household
being
taken
for Eleazar,
and
one
taken
for Ithamar.
7
Now
the
first
lot
came
forth
to Jehoiarib,
the
second
to Jedaiah,
8
The
third
to Harim,
the
fourth
to Seorim,
9
The
fifth
to Malchijah,
the
sixth
to Mijamin,
10
The
seventh
to Hakkoz,
the
eighth
to Abijah,
11
The
ninth
to Jeshua,
the
tenth
to Shecaniah,
12
The
eleventh
to Eliashib,
the
twelfth
to Jakim,
13
The
thirteenth
to Huppah,
the
fourteenth
to Jeshebeab,
14
The
fifteenth
to Bilgah,
the
sixteenth
to Immer,
15
The
seventeenth
to Hezir,
the
eighteenth
to Aphses,
16
The
nineteenth
to Pethahiah,
the
twentieth
to Jehezekel,
17
The
one
and
twentieth
to Jachin,
the
two
and
twentieth
to Gamul,
18
The
three
and
twentieth
to Delaiah,
the
four
and
twentieth
to Maaziah. (KJV)
These
24
elders
were
also
referenced
in
Revelations
5.

of

Rev
4:1-11
1
After
this
I
looked,
and,
behold,
a
door
was
opened
in
heaven:
and
the
first
voice
which
I
heard
was
as
it
were
of
a
trumpet
talking
with
me;
which
said,
Come
up
hither,
and
I
will
shew
thee
things
which
must
be
hereafter.
2
And
immediately
I
was
in
the
spirit:
and,
behold,
a
throne
was
set
in
heaven,
and
one
sat
on
the
throne.
3
And
he
that
sat
was
to
look
upon
like
a
jasper
and
a
sardine
stone:
and
there
was
a
rainbow
round
about
the
throne,
in
sight
like
unto
an
emerald.
4
And
round
about
the
throne
were
four
and
twenty
seats:
and
upon
the
seats
I
saw
four
and
twenty
elders
sitting,
clothed
in
white
raiment;
and
they
had
on
their
heads
crowns
of
gold.
5
And
out
of
the
throne
proceeded
lightnings
and
thunderings
and
voices:
and
there
were
seven
lamps
of
fire
burning
before
the
throne,
which
are
the
seven
Spirits
of
God.
6
And
before
the
throne
there
was
a
sea
of
glass
like
unto
crystal:
and
in
the
midst
of
the
throne,
and
round
about
the
throne,
were
four
beasts
full
of
eyes
before
and
behind.
7
And
the
first
beast
was
like
a
lion,
and
the
second
beast
like
a
calf,
and
the
third
beast
had
a
face
as
a
man,
and
the
fourth
beast
was
like
a
flying
eagle.
8
And
the
four
beasts
had
each
of
them
six
wings
about
him;
and
they
were
full
of
eyes
within:
and
they
rest
not
day
and
night,
saying,
Holy,
holy,
holy,
Lord
God
Almighty,
which
was,
and
is,
and
is
to
come.
9
And
when
those
beasts
give
glory
and
honour
and
thanks
to
him
that
sat
on
the
throne,
who
liveth
for
ever
and
ever,
10
The
four
and
twenty
elders
fall
down
before
him
that
sat
on
the
throne,
and
worship
him
that
liveth
for
ever
and
ever,
and
cast
their
crowns
before
the
throne,
saying,
11
Thou
art
worthy,
O
Lord,
to
receive
glory
and
honour
and
power:
for
thou
hast
created
all
things,
and
for
thy
pleasure
they
are
and
were
created.
(KJV)
"And
when
he
had
taken
the
book,
the
four
beasts
and
four
and
twenty
elders
fell
down
before
the
Lamb,
having
every
one
of

Who
are
these
"four
beasts"?
Let's
read
this
from
the
Green's
Interlinear:
"And
when
He
had
taken
the
book,
the
four
beasts
(zoo'a)
also
even
then
His
four
and
twenty
elders
fell

every
one
of
them
harps
and
even
moreover
vials
golden
full
of
odours,
which
are
those
prayers
of
His
saints.
And
they
sung
a
song
new
saying,
"Worthy

and
to
open
the
seals
thereof,
for
Thou

these

and

we
shall
reign
over
this
earth
(gee's).""
"beasts"
written
in
the
Greek zoo'a
.

zoon
(dzo'-on);

i.e.
an
animal:
KJV--

(dzah'-o);
a

quick.
2226
zoon-
1)
a
living
being
2)
an
animal,
a
brute,
a
beast
2198
zao-
1)
to
live,
to
breathe,
to
be
among
the
living
(not
lifeless,
not
dead)
2)
to
enjoy
real
life:
a)
to
have
true
life
that
is
worthy
of
the
name
b)
to
be
active,
blessed,
and
endless
in
the
kingdom
of
God
3)
to
live,
that
is,
to
pass
life,
in
the
manner
of
the
living
and
acting
of
mortals
or
character
4)
living

5)
metaphorically,
to
be
in
full
vigor
a)
to
be
fresh,
strong,
efficient,
b)
as
adjective:
active,
powerful,
efficacious
Let's
take
this
a
step
deeper
in
FATHER'S
Word.
The
"zoon"
or
"zoo'a"
are
spoken
of
in
Revelations
4:
"And
the
first
beast
was
like
a
lion,
and
the
second
beast
like
a
calf,
and
the
third
beast
had
a
face
as
a
man,
and
the
fourth
beast
was
like
a
flying
eagle.
"
What
are
these
"four
beasts"
representing?
These
represent
the
4
divisions
of
Israel
as
they
camped
at
night.
So,
these
four
living
creatures,
which
are
without
freewill,
are
representative
of
the
children
of
Israel,
although
they,
themselves,
are
without
freewill.
Let's
look
at
a
modern
day
analogy.
Your
local
football
team
is
called,
let's
say,
the
lions.
The
town
next
to
you
have
a
team
called
the
eagles.
But,
although
it
is
a
contest
of
the
eagles
and
lions,
the
actual
players
on
both
teams
are
humans.
In
the
1st
heaven
age,
YHVH
had
Satan
as
the
"covering
cherub"
(protector
of
The
Mercy
Seat),
and
we
know
what
happened
with
that.
In
the
2nd
Heaven
age,
YAHSHUA
(upon
whose
shoulder
YHVH'S
Government
resides)
does
not
rely
upon
one
such
as
Satan,
who
had
freewill.
Instead,
there
are
"four
beasts"
(four
living
creatures)
who
are
to
protect
HIS
Throne
from
all
sides
(in
the
manner
as
Isreal
camped),
which
do
not
have
the
'freewill',
therefore
can
not
turn
against
HIM
as
did
Satan
in
the
1st
Heaven
age.
---------
The
24
elders
are
most
likely composed of the
12
Apostles
(no
longer
simply
disciples,
but
Apostles) plus the
12
Patriarchs.
These
are
all
residing
in
Heaven,
having
passed
from
this
earth
age
already.
