Ezekiel 13

Ezekiel 13:

1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

These do not prophesy that which YHVH gives unto them, but they prophesy that which is out of their own minds.

3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

The word "
foolish" is the Hebrew word nabal. It is from the prime nabel.
5036 nabal (naw-bawl');
from 5034; stupid; wicked (especially impious):
KJV-- fool (-ish, -ish man, -ish woman), vile person.

5034 nabel (naw-bale');
a primitive root; to wilt; generally, to fall away, fail, faint; figuratively, to be foolish or (morally) wicked; causatively, to despise, disgrace:
KJV-- disgrace, dishounour, lightly esteem, fade (away, -ing), fall (down, -ling, off), do foolishly, come to nought, X surely, make vile, wither.

5036 nabal-
foolish, senseless, fool

We can see this word "nabal" as it is used as a name for a certain person.

1 Sam 25:25-33
25 Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.
26 Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath withholden thee from coming to shed blood, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.
27 And now this blessing which thine handmaid hath brought unto my lord, let it even be given unto the young men that follow my lord.
28 I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days.
29 Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling.
30 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD shall have done to my lord according to all the good that he hath spoken concerning thee, and shall have appointed thee ruler over Israel;
31 That this shall be no grief unto thee, nor offence of heart unto my lord, either that thou hast shed blood causeless, or that my lord hath avenged himself: but when the LORD shall have dealt well with my lord, then remember thine handmaid.
32 And David said to Abigail, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me:
33 And blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.

Ezekiel 13:
4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.

The word translated to "
foxes" in the English is from the Hebrew word shuw` al from the root sho` al.
7776 shuw` al (shoo-awl');
or shu` al (shoo-awl'); from the same as 8168; a jackal (as a burrower):
KJV-- fox.

8168 sho` al (sho'-al);
from an unused root meaning to hollow out; the palm; by extension, a handful:
KJV-- handful, hollow of the hand.
***. shu` al. See 7776.

These foxes are spoken of in The Song of Solomon as the little foxes, that spoil the vines of tender grapes.

Song 2:13-17
13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
14 O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.
15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
16 My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.
17 Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.

The word "
Take" is `achaz .

a) (Qal) to grasp, take hold of
b) (Niphal) to be caught, grasped, be settled

d) (Hophal) fastened

The words "
in the deserts" is chorbah.
2723 chorbah (khor-baw');
feminine of 2721; properly, drought, i.e. (by implication) a desolation:
KJV-- decayed place, desolate (place, -tion), destruction, (laid) waste (place).

2721 choreb (kho'-reb);
a collaterally form of 2719; drought or desolation:
KJV-- desolation, drought, dry, heat, X utterly, waste.

2719 chereb (kheh'-reb;
from 2717; drought; also a cutting instrument (from its destructive effect), as a knife, sword, or other sharp implement: -axe,

Matt 24:1-51
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the
stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Ezekiel 13:
5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

The words translated into English as "
into the gaps" is from the Hebrew word perets from the prime parats.
6556 perets (peh'-rets);
from 6555; a break (literally or figuratively):
KJV-- breach, breaking forth (in), X forth, gap.

6555 parats (paw-rats');
a primitive root; to break out (in many applications, direct and indirect, literal and figurative):
KJV-- X abroad, (make a) breach, break (away, down, -er, forth, in, up), burst out, come (spread) abroad, compel, disperse, grow, increase, open, press, scatter, urge.

The words translated into the English as "
the hedge" is the Hebrew word gader from the prime gadar.
1447 gader (gaw-dare');
from 1443; a circumvallation; by implication, an inclosure:
KJV-- fence, hedge, wall.
1443 gadar (gaw-dar');
a primitive root; to wall in or around:
KJV-- close up, fence up, hedge, inclose, make up [a wall], mason, repairer.

These foolish prophets have not taught the house of Israel to be able to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
They have not taught the whole truth, thereby leaving gaping holes in the wall that is meant for their protection.
YHVH is our Wall and our Hedge. The children of Israel must be taught the whole Word of GOD.
The whole Word of GOD is that protection. Without the whole Word, the children of Israel are made impotent in defending themselves from the enemy.
Yet, the enemy does not necessarily appear ugly or evil, but often comes disguised.

2 Cor 11:14-15
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

The word translated in the English as "
transformed" in this verse is from the Greek word metaschematizo. It means disguised
3345 metaschematizo (met-askh-ay-mat-id'-zo);
from 3326 and a derivative of 4976; to transfigure or disguise; figuratively, to apply (by accommodation):
KJV-- transfer, transform (self).

3326 meta (met-ah');
a primary preposition (often used adverbially); properly, denoting accompaniment; "amid" (local or causal); modified variously according to the case (genitive case association, or accusative case succession) with which it is joined; occupying an intermediate position between 575 or 1537 and 1519 or 4314; less intimate than 1722 and less close than 4862):
KJV-- after (-ward), X that he again, against, among, X and, + follow, hence, hereafter, in, of, (up-) on, + our, X and setting,
since, (un-) to, + together, when, with (+-out). Often used in composition, in substantially the same relations of participation or
proximity, and transfer or sequence.

4976 schema (skhay'-mah);
from the alternate of 2192; a figure (as a mode or circumstance), i.e. (by implication) external condition:
KJV-- fashion.

2192 echo (ekh'-o);
including an alternate form scheo (skheh'-o); used in certain tenses only); a primary verb; to hold (used in very various
applications, literally or figuratively, direct or remote; such as possessions; ability, contiuity, relation, or condition):
KJV-- be (able, X hold, possessed with), accompany, + begin to amend, can (+-not), X conceive, count, diseased, do + eat, +
enjoy, + fear, following, have, hold, keep, + lack, + go to law, lie, + must needs, + of necessity, + need, next, + recover, + reign,
+ rest, + return, X sick, take for, + tremble, + uncircumcised, use.

3345 metaschematizo-
to change the figure of, to transform

Satan has been condemned to perish. Therefore, his transformation into an angel of light is merely for the deception of all who have not YHVH'S wall about them.
"
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Are some these foolish prophets some of those who are disguised as ministers of righteousness? Some are the fallen angels who shall come prior to Satan's arrival, who will set up his 'one world' government.
Their end shall be according to their works. How many from their flocks will be unprotected because of their lies?

Without the truth from YHVH, without HIS Hedge / Wall made strong with the goodly tempered mortar of the Word, how can you know the difference between our true SAVIOR and the spurious one?

II Th 2:3-12
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Have you built your wall with the traditions of man? Have you daubed it with a flesh man's untempered, slimy mortar?

Ezekiel 13:
6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

7081 qecem-
divination, witchcraft
a) used of the nations, Balaam
b) used of false prophets
c) in a good sense (the king's lips as oracles)

YHVH has not sent these foolish prophets, but they are in abundance.
These 'self-called' prophets are so convincing, to their unlearned and misled flocks, that these flocks in turn continue these lies by teaching them to others. Perpetuating a lie does not make it become truth, but it does set a standard on a crooked path.

Ezekiel 13:

 7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.
9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

The word "
vain" is from the Hebrew shav'.
7723 shav' (shawv);

YHVH is against these lying prophets and they shall receive their just rewards for their evil deeds.

And, what words will our SAVIOR have for those who followed after these foolish prophets?
"
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Matt 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Ezekiel 13:
10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

These false prophets have led astray their flocks with vain promises. These teach that which contrary to HIS Word.
YHVH's whole Word is needed to build our Wall. And, this Wall of Truth is to protect us from Satan's deception which shall come before our LORD'S returning.
These false prophets have built their wall with FATHER'S Word, but then have connected these truths with slime that will not hold the wall up.

Ezekiel 13:
12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing
shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
14 So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 13:
15 Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
16 To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

FATHER has addressed these foolish, lying prophets.

Ezekiel 13:
17 Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
18 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

Did YHVH allow this word to be translated into the English as
fly because HE knew that there would be those in the end days teaching lies of 'flying away'?
"
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly."
FATHER knows all things. HE is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.

How many of these teach only as a means to make money or 'rip off' the misled?
"
And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?"
