Giants

Gen 6:4
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (KJV)

This word "
giants" is written in the Hebrew as Ha-Napiliym. It is from the word nephiyl:
5303 nephiyl (nef-eel');
or nephil (nef-eel'); from 5307; properly, a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant:
KJV-- giant.

We can also see that there were "
giants" living in the earth even after the flood of Noah's time.

Num 13:33
33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. (KJV)

Let's look a bit closer at the giants.
How were they produced?

To look at this, we must go back to the 1st Heaven age.
YHVH created all the souls, each with their own individual spirit (brain/mind) and each within an 'body' which was inherent of the 1st Heavenly age/dimension.
And, FATHER assigned specific powers and abilities to those whom HE created to be a part of the hierarchy of HIS Kingdom.
These assigned to the hierarchy of HIS Kingdom were referred to as `Elohiym.
`Elohiym refers to YHVH'S "magistrate, rulers, judges, etc" which were a part of HIS 1st Heaven age/dimension Government/Kingdom.

430 'elohiym (el-o-heem');
plural of 433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:
KJV-- angels, X exceeding, God (gods)- dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.

430 'elohiym-
1) (plural)
a) rulers, judges
b) divine ones
c) angels
d) gods
2) (plural intensive -singular meaning)
a) God, a god, a goddess
b) god-like one
c) works or special possessions of God
d) the one true God
e) God

Within the `Elohiym, there were those referred to as
archangels

I
n the celestial hierarchy, an archangel is a spiritual being next in rank above an angel. The word archangel occurs several times in the Bible. In the New Testament the voice of an archangel and the sounding of the trumpet of God will signal the coming of Christ for His people <1 Thes. 4:16> and Michael the archangel disputed with the devil about the body of Moses <Jude 9>. In the Old Testament, Michael is described as having a great power and authority <Dan. 10:13> and is the guardian of Israel <Dan. 10:21>, especially in the "time of trouble" in the last days <Dan. 12:1>.
(from Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary) (Copyright (C) 1986, Thomas Nelson Publishers)

"
archangel
743 archaggelos (ar-khang'-el-os);
from 757 and 32; a chief angel:
KJV-- archangel.
757 archo (ar'-kho);
a primary verb; to be first (in political rank or power):
KJV-- reign (rule) over.
32 aggelos (ang'-el-os);
from aggello [probably derived from 71; compare 34] (to bring tidings); a messenger; especially an "angel"; by implication, a pastor:
KJV-- angel, messenger.
(Strong's)

743 archaggelos-
archangel, or chief of the angels The Jews, after the exile, distinguished several orders of angels. Some reckoned four angels (according to the four sides of God's throne) of the highest rank, but the majority reckoned seven (after the pattern of the seven Amshaspands, the highest spirits of the religion of Zoroaster).
757 archo-
to be chief, to lead, to rule
32 aggelos-
a messenger, an envoy, one who was sent, an angel, a messenger from God
(Thayer's)

Also, within the `Elohiym, there were
cherubim
It would appear that these cherubim have jobs/tasks within the Government/Kingdom that has to do with "protection and security". And, because of their jobs/tasks, these would have need to have power which was greater than that of all the other souls who YHVH created.
We can see this in Genesis 3:24.

Gen 3:24
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. (KJV)

And, we can see this in the description given of Satan, concerning his job/task that he had been created to do (before his fall).

Ezek 28:14-19
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God;
thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. (KJV)

This "
anointed cherub that covereth" refers to being the 'protector of the Mercy Seat (YHVH'S Throne)'.
Satan's power was greater than all the other souls FATHER had created, because he was responsible for protecting YHVH Throne/Kingdom (before he fell from grace).

There are other 'types' of angels within FATHER'S Government/Kingdom as well.

Ok, now let's look at how these "
giants" came to be in the flesh.

Jude 1:6
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. (KJV)

We can see that there were "
angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation".

The words "
first estate" is archeen:
746 arche (ar-khay');
from 756; (properly abstract) a commencement, or (concretely) chief (in various applications of order, time, place, or rank):
KJV-- beginning, corner, (at the, the) first (estate), magistrate, power, principality, principle, rule.
756 archomai (ar'-khom-ahee);
middle voice of 757 (through the implication of precedence); to commence (in order of time):
KJV-- (rehearse from the) begin (-ning).
757 archo (ar'-kho);
a primary verb; to be first (in political rank or power):
KJV-- reign (rule) over.
(Strong's)

746 arche-
1) beginning, origin
2) the person or thing that commences, the first person or thing in a series, the leader
3) that by which anything begins to be, the origin, the active cause
4) the extremity of a thing;
used of the corners of a sail
5) the first place, principality, rule, magistracy;
used of angels and demons
756 archomai-
1) to be the first to do anything, to begin
2) to be chief, to be leader, to be ruler
3) to begin, to make a beginning
757 archo-
to be chief, to lead, to rule
(Thayer's)

"
habitation
3613 oiketerion (oy-kay-tay'-ree-on);
neuter of a presumed derivative of 3611 (equivalent to 3612); a residence (literally or figuratively):
KJV-- habitation, house.
3611 oikeo (oy-keh'-o);
from 3624; to occupy a house, i.e. reside (figuratively, inhabit, remain, inhere); by implication to cohabit:
KJV-- dwell. See also 3625.
3624 oikos (oy'-kos);
of uncertain affinity; a dwelling (more or less extensive, literal or figurative); by implication a family (more or less related, literal or figuratively):
KJV-- home, house (-hold), temple.
(Strong's)

3613 oiketerion-
a dwelling place, a habitation;
used of the body as a dwelling place for the spirit
3611 oikeo-
to dwell in
3624 oikos-
1) a house
a) an inhabited house, a home
b) any building whatever
1) used of a palace
2) the house of God, the tabernacle
c) any dwelling place
1) used of the human body as the abode of demons that possess it
2) used of tents, and huts, and later, of the nests, stalls, lairs, used of animals
3) the place where one has fixed his residence, one's settled abode, domicile
2) the inmates of a house, all the persons forming one family, a household, the family of God, used of the ekklesia of Christ, used of the congregation of the Old and New Testaments
3) stock, race, descendants of one
(Thayer's)

These "
angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation" does speak of "angels", but they are specific 'types' of angels, which had particular jobs/tasks within particular stations/positions in YHVH'S Government, and had abilities/powers to match their jobs/tasks.
But, these chose to leave their 'station/position' in YHVH'S Kingdom, and use their abilities/power for their own benefit and on behalf of Satan. These 'leaving' their "
first estate" was when they fell from Grace in YHVH'S sight, thereby becoming 'fallen angels'.

Let's look at the word "
angel" both in the Hebrew and the Greek:

In the Hebrew:
4397 mal'ak (mal-awk');
from an unused root meaning to dispatch as a deputy; a messenger; specifically, of God, i.e. an angel (also a
prophet, priest or teacher):
KJV-- ambassador, angel, king, messenger.
(Strong's)

4397 mal'ak-
a messenger, a representative
a) a messenger
b) an angel
c) the theophanic angel
(Brown-Driver-Briggs')

In the Greek:
32 aggelos (ang'-el-os);
from aggello [probably derived from 71; compare 34] (to bring tidings); a messenger; especially an "angel"; by
implication, a pastor:
KJV-- angel, messenger.
(Strong's)

32 aggelos-
a messenger, an envoy, one who was sent, an angel, a messenger from God
(Thayer's)

These 'fallen angels' were assigned/relegated to the 2nd Heavenly dimension along with all the other souls whom YHVH had created. From the 2nd Heavenly dimensional age, these 'fallen angels' then "left their own habitation" (residence) in the 2nd Heaven dimension and began walking among men in the flesh,  in this dimension of the 2nd earth age after man was created in the flesh on the 6th day.
These fallen angel's physical bodies were not of the same substance/matter as that of the
earthly flesh men, but their appearance was that of flesh man.

Now, let's go back to Genesis 6.

Gen 6:1-4
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of  renown. (KJV)

These "
the sons of God" refers to 'the sons of the Elohiym'. These were not only of the Elohiym, but specific ones which will be explained in these verses.
These specific 'the sons of the Elohiym' impregnated the "
daughters of men". This shows the difference in those who were of earthly dimensional flesh bodies from those who were of heavenly dimensional bodies.

Let's rightly divide this.
"
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

These "
giants", as we read above, speaks of these specific angels with great abilities/powers who fell from Grace. They were archangels who had fallen from YHVH'S Grace, because they had unlawfully left their positions.
These "
giants" also left their habitation in the 2nd Heaven dimension, and began walking among flesh men.
Because of their great power and abilities, and because they were physically perfect according to Heavenly standards, then they would appear to be very mighty in the sight of earthly flesh men.

Let's read this as it is in the Green's Interlinear:
"There were giants in the earth in those days and also after that when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men.  And they bare to them, the same mighty men which of old, men of renown."

"
mighty men" refers to gibbor
1
368 gibbowr (ghib-bore');
or (shortened) gibbor (ghib-bore'); intensive from the same as 1397; powerful; by implication, warrior, tyrant:

1397 geber (gheh'-ber);  from 1396; properly, a valiant man or warrior; generally, a person simply:
KJV-- every one, man, X mighty.

a primitive root; to be strong; by implication, to prevail, act insolently:
KJV-- exceed, confirm, be great, be mighty, prevail, put to more [strength], strengthen, be stronger, be valiant.
(Strong's)

1368 gibbowr or (shortened) gibbor-
as an adjective:
1) strong, mighty
as a noun, masculine:

2) to confirm (a covenant)
d) (Hithpael)
1) to show oneself mighty
2) to act proudly (toward God)
(Brown-Driver-Briggs')

"
the same mighty men which of old, men of renown
The words "
the same" is heemaah, which speaks of 'these same'.
'These same' were the mighty "
giants" (fallen angels), now in mixed flesh bodies through the womb of flesh woman.
And, these 'fallen angels' (giants walking in the earth) were "
of old, men of renown".
This "
of old, men of renown" speaks of ancient times (1st and 2nd Heaven ages/dimensions).

5769 `owlam (o-lawm');
or `olam (o-lawm'); from 5956; properly, concealed, i.e. the vanishing point; generally, time out of mind (past or future), i.e. (practically) eternity; frequentatively, adverbial (especially with prepositional prefix) always:
KJV-- alway (-s), ancient (time), any more, continuance, eternal, (for, [n-]) ever (-lasting, -more, of old), lasting, long (time), (of) old (time), perpetual, at any time, (beginning of the) world (+without end). Compare 5331, 5703.
(Strong's)

5769 `owlam or `olam-
long duration, antiquity, futurity, forever, ever, everlasting, evermore, perpetual, old, ancient, world
a) ancient time, long time (used of the past)
b) (used of the future)
1) forever, always
2) continuous existence, perpetual
3) everlasting, indefinite or unending future, eternity
(Brown-Driver-Briggs')

The words "
men of renown" refers to male entities of conspicuous reputation or fame (good or bad).
