Go In & Possess The Land

Deut 4:
1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.

Listen up, This chapter in  Deuteronomy shall teach us that which we have need in order to 'possess' the Promised Land.

"
possess"
3423 yarash (yaw-rash');
or yaresh (yaw-raysh'); a primitive root; to occupy (by driving out previous tenants, and possessing in their
place); by implication, to seize, to rob, to inherit; also to expel, to impoverish, to ruin:
KJV-- cast out, consume, destroy, disinherit, dispossess, drive (-ing) out, enjoy, expel, X without fail, (give to,
leave for) inherit (-ance, -or) + magistrate, be (make) poor, come to poverty, (give to, make to) possess, get
(have) in (take) possession, seize upon, succeed, X utterly.

Who has taken up residence in the land...in the land promised in the Covenant by our FATHER, YHVH?
At this moment, the Kenites and other squatters are standing in the way. And, soon, Satan's government, the Satan, himself,  shall be standing in the way, to keep us from collecting our inheritance from YAHOVAH.
Now, we are not talking about parcels of land in this fleshly Earth age which has been promised, but the inheritance of The Promised Land in the LORD'S DAY. Our inheritance is with our true FATHER, YHVH, through HIS SAVIOUR, YAHSHUA, JESUS CHRIST in HIS Kingdom.

In order for us to possess the Promised Land, we shall have need to drive out those who are standing in our way. Satan has taken that which is not his, and has given it unto his children. But, YAHOVAH shall take back that which is rightfully HIS , and we will be helping.
Yet, we must do it YHVH'S Way.

Deut 4:
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Do we understand this?
FATHER'S commandments are to be followed...not our own self-will.

Deut 4:
3 Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

What happened with Baalpeor?
Num 25:3-6
3 And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. (KJV)

Let's look at this name
Baalpeor
1187 Ba` al Pe` owr (bah'-al peh-ore');
from 1168 and 6465; Baal of Peor; Baal-Peor, a Moabitish deity:
KJV-- Baal-peor.
1168 Ba` al (bah'-al);
the same as 1167; Baal, a Phoenician deity: -Baal, (plural) Baalim.
1167 ba` al (bah'-al);
from 1166; a master; hence, a husband, or (figuratively) owner (often used with another noun in modifications of this latter sense):
KJV-- + archer, + babbler, + bird, captain, chief man, + confederate, + have to do, + dreamer, those to whom it is
due, + furious, those that are given to it, great, + hairy, he that hath it, have, + horseman, husband, lord, man, + married, master, person, + sworn, they of.
1166 ba` al (baw-al');
a primitive root; to be master; hence, (as denominative from 1167) to marry:
KJV-- have dominion (over), be husband, marry (-ried, X wife).
6465 Pe` owr (peh-ore');
from 6473; a gap; Peor, a mountain East of Jordan; also (for 1187) a deity worshipped there:

KJV-- Peor. See also 1047.
***. Pa` iy. See 6464.
6473 pa` ar (paw-ar');
a primitive root; to yawn, i.e. open wide (literally or figuratively):
KJV-- gape, open (wide).

1187 Ba` al Pe` owr-
Baal-peor = "lord of the gap";
the deity worshiped at Peor probably with licentious rites

Was this a type for Satan?
Are the people of the world worshipping everything except YAHOVAH?
Well, FATHER is not so happy with most of Israel at this moment, because we have joined ourselves to many 'Baalpeors' through our taking in of traditions that are not of YAHOVAH, and through the tangled, feeble 'one world' political system that has eaten away at the very fabric of this nation.
We have supported Satan's children to the point that they have become so strong that they have taken over all the blessings FATHER meant for HIS children. We have supported those like unto Esau, who did not care enough for his inheritance, that he sold it for a bowl of red pottage.
We have taken on the ways of Sodom and Gommorah, and called it "politically correct" and "equal rights".

FATHER shall send the chastisement that the children of Israel deserve...just rewards, that hopefully shall correct and cause many to come back into HIS Truth.

Deut 4:
4 But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.

But, we, who have strived to become the servants that FATHER desires, are very much spiritually alive today.

Deut 4:
5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

FATHER rewards HIS faithful servants who continue studying and learning HIS Word with the former rain, the moderate rain, and the latter rain. HE shall also 'seal' HIS servants according to HIS plan.
And, the people shall see YAHOVAH'S True servants, with HIS HOLY SPIRIT upon them, and many shall understand and come into the truth.
HIS 'Holy Nation' shall increase.

Deut 4:
7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Who is this 'nation'?

1 Pet 2:9-10
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. (KJV)

YAHOVAH'S true servants with our SAVIOUR, YAHSHUA, JESUS CHRIST shall be that Holy Nation.

35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. (KJV)

Heb 3:12
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. (KJV)

2 Pet 1:19
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (KJV)

Deut 4:
10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
11 And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
12 And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

We shall hear HIS voice, and we shall know HIS voice.
We know as long as we are in the flesh, that we can not be present with YAHOVAH, or with YAHSHUA.
No flesh man can look upon HIS face, but we can hear HIS Word, we can feel HIS loving embrace, and we know that HE IS.

Deut 4:
13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

What are FATHER'S Ten Commandments?

Exod 20:3-17
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do
any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.  (KJV)

1. "You shall have no other gods before Me" <Ex. 20:3>. Since God's character forms the basis of the covenant with His people. He demands absolute loyalty. And when the intent of the heart is to put God first, a person's outward actions will reveal it. Then others will see what God's character is like through the actions of His people.
2. "You shall not make for yourself a carved image" <Ex. 20:4>. The second commandment is necessary because people do not always keep the first. The Israelites made a golden calf to worship even as the Lord gave the laws to Moses. And since Israel had so many contacts with people who did worship images, including replicas of their earthly rulers, God gave them this law. God has never been a tangible, visible Being <Deut. 4:12>, but always a Spirit <John 4:24>.
3. "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain" <Ex. 20:7>. God's name and His character are inseparable. Using His holy name lightly in a vain, empty manner is insulting and degrading. This could be done
by perjuring oneself in a court of law or by cursing. However, this commandment also applies to hypocritical worship, using God's name in meaningless prayer and praise <Is. 29:13>.
4. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy" <Ex. 20:8>. Sabbath means "rest," but God intended for this day to stand for more than an absence of work. It was to be a day of worship as well-- a day for setting aside all thoughts of materialistic gain and thinking about Him. God Himself set the pattern by ceasing from His labors after creating the world. Why, then, must modern-day Christians feel that being busy is equated with being spiritual?
5. "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land" <Ex. 20:12>. God established parents as the authority figures in the family unit. Children often get their first impressions about God from their parents. Parents who walk in the Spirit, honestly desiring to follow the guidelines of the Scriptures, will set better examples for their children. And children who want to please God will respect their parents, regardless of pressure from the world and their peers.
6. "You shall not murder" <Ex. 20:13>. Commandments six through nine pertain to our relationships with one another. The breakdown of these guidelines has plunged many civilizations into decay. A person who cares about others, beginning with those in the home, does not want to harm them. This law reveals God's attitude toward people created in His image. No one has the right to take that life from another.
7. "You shall not commit adultery" <Ex. 20:14>. Technically, this commandment refers to being sexually involved with a married person; but it is traditionally used to prohibit all sexual relationships outside of marriage. Again, this commandment involves a right relationship with God and with others. Adultery is possible only if people are prepared to hurt others, to enjoy themselves at the expense of other people. A right attitude toward keeping God first and not harming others is tied together in these commandments. A person who does not steal will not take another's mate. And he does not allow covetous thoughts to grow in his mind. He wants God to have his total allegiance.
8. "You shall not steal" <Ex. 20:15>. Stealing involves taking something that does not belong to you. This could be another's life, marriage partner, or reputation. This law also emphasizes the importance of getting all you own through lawful channels.
9. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" <Ex. 20:16>. A good relationship demands honesty in speaking of another. The old saying, "A man's word is as good as his name" is sometimes a joke today. But God's people ought to cherish their own reputations and that of others. If a person is unwilling to speak ill of another, he is less likely to steal from him or to commit murder.
10. "You shall not covet" <Ex. 20:17>. Jesus elaborated on this commandment by stating, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" <Matt. 22:39>. The negative and the positive work together. You do not harm people you care about.
This tenth commandment is an outgrowth of the first. If a person's heart is fixed on the Lord, he will have the right attitude toward others. Consequently, the desires that rise from his heart will not cause pain or loss to others. The right motive (pleasing God who is first in your life) will result in obeying the other commandments (not hurting others).
Jesus enlarged on the idea prevalent in the Ten Commandments by emphasizing the heart attitude: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" <Matt. 5:8>. The Christian has blessed joy on earth when his priorities are straight.

Please note that the word "
murder" is from the Greek word phoneus. This refers to 'premeditated murder', and is not to be confused with the acts and duties in wartime or in defense of one-self or others, nor in the line of duty, such as in the case of law enforcement officers.

5407 phoneuo (fon-yoo'-o);
from 5406; to be a murderer (of):
KJV-- kill, do murder, slay.
5406 phoneus (fon-yooce');
from 5408; a murderer (always of criminal [or at least intentional] homicide; which 443 does not necessarily imply; while 4607 is a special term for a public bandit):
KJV-- murderer.

5408 phonos (fon'-os);
from an obsolete primary pheno (to slay); murder:
KJV-- murder, + be slain with, slaughter.

The Hebrew word for "
kill" is tirtsaach .
7523 ratsach (raw-tsakh');
a primitive root; properly, to dash in pieces, i.e. kill (a human being), especially to murder:
KJV-- put to death, kill, (man-) slay (-er), murder (-er).

7523 ratsach-
to murder, to slay, to kill
a) (Qal) to murder, to slay
1) premeditated
2) accidental
3) as avenger
4) slayer (intentional) (participle)
b) (Niphal) to be slain
c) (Piel)
1) to murder, to assassinate
2) murderer, assassin (participle) (substantive)
d) (Pual) to be killed

Both in the Hebrew and the Greek, we can easily see that this commandment referred to the unlawful act of homicide or premeditated murder.

Have any of these commandments changed?

Matt 5:17-20
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.  (KJV)

Deut 4:
14 And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.
15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

What does YAHOVAH look like?
Can we see HIM as we are in the flesh?
Now, we know that YAHSHUA was that office of YAHOVAH, of the HOLY TRINITY, who walked in the flesh on this Earth.
But, did our flesh eyes look upon YAHSHUA?

John 14:9-31
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.  (KJV)

Have we placed an image of that which we think YAHSHUA looks like in our minds?
Is that, which is visual, such an important proof to us? Do we not know, in our hearts, our SAVIOUR, YAHSHUA, JESUS CHRIST?
Many, the majority, the great multitude of the world, shall look at the image the supernatural, spurious governmental kings sets up of this creature, Satan, in all his awesome beauty and vast power, and cause the world to think he is 'Jesus' or 'God'.

HAS the 'graven image', that man has thrust at the world through artist's conceptions, traditions of man, statues, and so forth, been stuck in your conscious mind?
Will this be a point that might cause you to stumble?
Those, who walked with YAHSHUA in the flesh, were allowed to see HIS face as HE was in the flesh. But, those of this generation have not.

Will your flesh eyes deceive you?
We must look with our spiritual eyes. We must look beyond that which is of before our flesh eyes in order to see, with understanding, that which YAHOVAH would have us know, so that we may be prepared.

Now, there have been ancient written descriptions of YAHSHUA.

This is a reprinting of a letter from Pontius Pilate to Tiberius Caesar describing the physical appearance of Jesus.
TO TIBERIUS CAESAR:
A young man appeared in Galilee preaching with humble unction, a new law in the Name of the God that had sent Him. At first I was apprehensive that His design was to stir up the people against the Romans, but my fears were soon dispelled. Jesus of Nazareth spoke rather as a friend of the Romans than of the Jews. One day I observed
in the midst of a group of people young man who was leaning against a tree, calmly addressing the multitude. I was told it was Jesus. This I could easily have suspected so great was the difference between Him and those who were listening to Him. His golden colored hair and beard gave to his appearance a celestial aspect. He appeared to be about 30 years of age. Never have I seen a sweeter or more serene countenance. What a contrast between Him and His bearers with their black beards and tawny complexions! Unwilling to interrupt Him by my presence, I continued my walk but signified to my secretary to join the group and listen. Later, my secretary reported that never had he seen in the works of all the philosophers anything that compared to the teachings of
Jesus. He told me that Jesus was neither seditious nor rebellious, so we extended to Him our protection. He was at liberty to act, to speak, to assemble and to address the people. This unlimited freedom provoked the Jews -- not the poor but the rich and powerful.

Later, I wrote to Jesus requesting an interview with Him at the Praetorium. He came. When the Nazarene made His appearance I was having my morning walk and as I faced Him my feet seemed fastened with an iron hand to the marble pavement and I trembled in every limb as a guilty culprit, though he was calm. For some time I stood admiring this extraordinary Man. There was nothing in Him that was repelling, nor in His character, yet I felt awed in His presence. I told Him that there was a magnetic simplicity about Him and His personality that elevated Him far above the philosophers and teachers of His day.
Now, Noble Sovereign, these are the facts concerning Jesus of Nazareth and I have taken the time to write you in detail concerning these matters. I say that such a man who could convert water into win, change death into life, disease into health; calm the stormy seas, is not guilty of any criminal offense and as others have said, we must agree -- truly this is the Son of God!

Your most obedient servant
Pontius Pilate

A description of Jesus Himself is found in "The Archko Volume" which contains official court documents from the days of the Messiah. This information substantiates that He came from racial lines which had blue eyes and golden hair. In a chapter entitled "Gamaliel's Interview" it states concerning Jesus:
(The Archko Volume, translated by Drs. McIntosh and Twyman of the Antiquarian Lodge, Genoa, Italy, from manuscripts in Constantinople and the records of the Senatorial Docket taken from the Vatican of Rome (1896) 92-93)

"I asked him to describe this person to me, so that I might know him if I should meet him. He said: 'If you ever meet him [YAHSHUA] you will know him. While he is nothing but a man, there is something about him that distinguishes him from every other man. He is the picture of his mother, only he has not her smooth, round face.
His hair is a little more golden than hers, though it is as much from sunburn as anything else. He is tall, and his shoulders are a little drooped; his visage is thin and of a swarthy complexion, though this is from exposure. His
eyes are large and a soft blue, and rather dull and heavy....' This Jew [Judahite] is convinced that he is the Messiah of the world. ...this was the same person that was born of the virgin in Bethlehem some twenty-six
years before..."

***************************************************

The following description of Jesus Christ was written by Publius Lentrelus, a resident of Judea in the reign of Tiberius Caesar. It first appeared in the writings of Saint Anselm of Canterbury, 11th century:
(E. Raymond Capt's book, 'The Resurrection Tomb',)

There lives at this time in Judea a man of singular virtue whose name is Jesus Christ, whom the barbarians esteem as a prophet, but his followers love and adore him as the offspring of the immortal God.

He calls back the dead from the graves and heals all sorts of diseases with a word or touch. He is a tall man, well-shaped, and of an amiable and reverend aspect; his hair of a color that can hardly be matched, falling into graceful curls, waving about and very agreeable crouching upon his shoulders, parted on the crown of the head, running as a stream to the front after fashion of the Nazarites. His forehead high, large and imposing; his cheeks without spot or wrinkle, beautiful with a lovely red; his nose and mouth formed with exquisite symmetry; his beard, and of a color suitable to his hair, reaching below his chin and parted in the middle like a fork; his eyes bright blue, clear and serene. Look innocent, dignified, manly and mature. In proportion of body most perfect, and captivating; his arms and hands delectable to behold.

He rebukes with majesty, councils with mildness, His whole address whether in word or deed, being eloquent and grave. No man has seen him laugh, yet his manners are exceedingly pleasant, but he has wept frequently in the presence of men. He is temperate, modest and wise. A man for his extraordinary beauty and perfection, surpassing the children of men in every sense.

Do these descriptions fit the images, icons, drawings, paintings, etc, that man has created?

Well, hold on a minute...before we think we have a clear preconceived picture in our minds of what YAHSHUA looks like, let's take a look at what is written about Satan.

Ezek 28:12-19
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.  (KJV)

What is a
cherub
3742 keruwb (ker-oob');
of uncertain derivation; a cherub or imaginary figure:
KJV-- cherub, [plural] cherubims.

3742 keruwb-
a cherub, cherubim (plural); an angelic being
1) as guardians of Eden
2) as flanking God's throne
3) as an image form hovering over the Ark of the Covenant
4) as the chariot of Jehovah (Yahweh) (figurative)

CHERUBIM
[CHEER oo beam] (meaning unknown)-- winged angelic beings, often associated with worship and praise of God. The cherubim are first mentioned in the Bible in <Genesis 3:24>. When God drove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, He placed cherubim at the east of the garden, "and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life."
According to the prophets, cherubim belong to the category of unfallen angels; at one time, however, Satan or Lucifer was a cherub <Ezek. 28:14, 16>, until he rebelled against God <Is. 14:12-14; Ezek. 28:12-19>.
Symbolic representations of cherubim were used in the TABERNACLE in the wilderness. Two cherubim made of gold were stationed at the two ends of the MERCY SEAT, above the ARK OF THE COVENANT in the HOLY OF
HOLIES <Ex. 25:17-22; 1 Chr. 28:18; Heb. 9:5>. Artistic designs of cherubim decorated the ten curtains <Ex. 26:1; 36:8> and the veil <Ex. 26:31; 2 Chr. 3:14> of the tabernacle.
When Solomon built the Temple, he ordered that two cherubim be made of olive wood and overlaid with gold.
Each measured ten cubits (4.6 meters or 15 feet) high with a wingspread of ten cubits (4.6 meters or 15 feet) <1Kin. 6:23-28; 8:6-7; 2 Chr. 3:10-13; 5:7-8>. These gigantic cherubim were placed inside the inner sanctuary, or in the Most Holy Place in the Temple. Their wings were spread over the ark of the covenant. The woodwork throughout the Temple was decorated with engraved figures of cherubim, trees, and flowers <1 Kin. 6:29-35; 7:29,36; 2 Chr. 3:7>.
A careful comparison of the first and tenth chapters of the book of Ezekiel shows clearly that the "four living creatures" <Ezek. 1:5> were the same beings as the cherubim <Ezekiel 10>. Each had four faces-- that of a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle <Ezek. 1:10>; (also <10:14>)-- and each had four wings. In their appearance, the cherubim "had the likeness of a man" <Ezek. 1:5>. These cherubim used two of their wings for flying and the other two for covering their bodies <Ezek. 1:6,11,23>. Under their wings the cherubim appeared to have the form, or likeness, of a man's hand <Ezek. 1:8; 10:7-8,21>.
The imagery of <Revelation 4:6-9> seems to be inspired, at least in part, by the prophecies of Ezekiel. The "four living creatures" described here, as well as the cherubim of Ezekiel, served the purpose of magnifying the holiness and power of God. This is one of their main responsibilities throughout the Bible. In addition to singing God's praises, they also served as a visible reminder of the majesty and glory of God and His abiding presence with His people.
In some ways, the cherubim were similar to the SERAPHIM, another form of angelic being mentioned in the Bible. Both were winged beings, and both surrounded God on His throne <Is. 6:2-3>. But the seraphim of the prophet Isaiah's vision were vocal in their praise of God, singing "Holy, holy is the Lord of hosts" <Is. 6:3>.
Nowhere else in the Bible do the cherubim break forth in such exuberant praise. They apparently played a quieter, more restrained role in worship.

Will Satan have wings?
No, the wings were only representations which refers to 'the act of covering' or 'protecting'. 'Wings' can also indicate the use of the 2nd Heaven age vehicles as described in Ezekiel 1.
We can look as this as more of a job description rather than anything else....ie: Satan was YAHOVAH'S chief security guard before he fell from grace by committing the unpardonable sin and breaking the first commandment plus all the rest.

The reason I have brought all this up is to help bring about your awareness, because often that which is visual can be very deceiving.

Let's look at one who had to be shown, see with his flesh eyes, before he would believe.

John 20:24-29
24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (KJV)

Now, if we rely on that which is visual, our eyes may deceive us, for Satan shall come disguised as 'Jesus'.

If one has seen YAHSHUA, in our generation, then they would have had to have been 'taken' from their flesh, or  have had the 'veil rent' so that they were allowed to have seen the Heavenly dimensional form of YAHSHUA.
After one has been shown proof such as this, they can not deny HIM. One such as this could no longer work under 'faith' alone, for 'faith is believing without seeing'. One who has 'seen' would then be held responsible, because of that knowledge. And, they would have need to act accordingly for our FATHER.

But, most have not 'seen' with their own eyes, and therefore are covered under 'faith' and 'grace'.
So, having not seen, we must prepare ourselves with HIS Word of Truth in order to do according to HIS Will and to recognize YAHSHUA.

Remember Satan comes disguised as ' the resurrected, Heavenly dimensional, Jesus'.

2 Cor 11:14-15
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (KJV)

various applications, literally or figuratively, direct or remote; such as possessions; ability, contiuity, relation, or condition):

next, + recover, + reign, + rest, + return, X sick, take for, + tremble, + uncircumcised, use.

What is it that we must keep in mind?
First, we know Satan comes disguised as the resurrected 'Savior', so we know that he comes not in the flesh.
But, what else do we need to know?

II Th 2:1-8
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (KJV)

Ok, we know that Satan is not some flesh man that might appear and do great evilness in the world.
There may be such a flesh man that the world will see before the spurious 'Jesus' arrives in his very spectacular way. But, Satan must arrive in the manner that the world would be expecting their 'Jesus/God' to arrive...such as in a cloud or a pillar of fire.

We must, therefore, be careful not to corrupt our minds with graven images, or any other similitude that might cause our minds to falter.

Deut 4:
16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

Deut 4:
20 But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.

This phrase "
iron furnace" was also used in Jeremiah.

Jer 11:1-23
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2 Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
5 That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
6 Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.
7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.
9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

What is this that FATHER shall bring against all those who will not hear and refuse do HIS Word?
