Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

In The Latter Days

Ezek 38:1-23

1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

We see that YHVH is telling Ezekiel that which happens in the latter time.

Who is "Gog"?

GOG

The leader of a confederacy of armies that attacked the land of Israel. Described as "the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal," Gog is also depicted as being "of the land of Magog" (Ezek 38:2-3), a "place out of the far north" of Israel. Ezekiel prophetically describes Gog and his allies striking at Israel with a fierce and sudden invasion (Ezek 38-39). According to Ezekiel's prophecy, Gog will be crushed on the mountains of Israel in a slaughter so great it will take seven months to bury the dead (Ezek 39:12).

The vision of Gog and Magog that appears in the Book of Revelation is essentially a restatement of the prophecy of Ezekiel, although it places the events of this prophecy in the future (Rev 20:7-8).

Ezek 38

8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

These confederates that have aligned themselves with this individual Gog, have already come into this country.

These people have immigrated (legally or illegally) to the United States.

They are concealed (their intentions) and are growing fat (prospering) here, awaiting the time when they shall attack from within.

Ezek 38

11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

"I will go up" means 'to arise', 'to ascend'...to put their plan into action.

This verse specifies that it is the United States.

Ezek 38

"and to take" 'to plunder'

"a prey" basically, to hold us hostage, because of the great disruption caused by their attack upon us from within

"to turn" 'to do evil'

"thine hand" 'their power', power that is in their hands to do

Ezek 38:

13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Wo is Sheba?

SHEBA

[SHEE buh] (oath) - the name of five men, a city, and a country in the Old Testament:

1. A descendant of Ham. Sheba's descendants are believed to have settled on the shores of the Persian Gulf (Gen 10:7).

2. A son of Joktan of the family of Shem, whose descendants have been traced to southern Arabia (Gen 10:28).

3. A grandson of Abraham (Gen 25:3). Sheba was a son of Jokshan, who was a son of Abraham by Keturah. Sheba and his descendants probably lived in Edom or northern Arabia.

4. A city of the territory of Judah assigned to the tribe of Simeon (Josh 19:2). Some modern translations of the Bible (NKJV, NIV, NASB) equate Sheba with Beersheba.

5. A son of Bichri, of the tribe of Benjamin (2 Sam 20:1-22). After the death of Absalom, Sheba led a short-lived rebellion against King David and was forced to retreat inside the city of Abel of Beth Maachah. This city was then besieged by Joab, the captain of David's army. In order to save their city, the people of Abel cut off Sheba's head and threw it over the wall to Joab (2 Sam 20:1-22).

6. A mountainous country in southwest Arabia (1 Kings 10:1-13), identified as the land of "the queen of the South" (Luke 11:31) who came to investigate Solomon's fame and wisdom. By means of its international trade and control of trade routes through its land, Sheba developed into a strong commercial power. Its trade specialties were perfumes and incense. Camel caravans followed routes northward across its dry regions, bearing their precious commodities for the royal courts of the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Thus the Queen of Sheba's visit to Solomon may have been motivated also by her interest in trade and in the unhindered movement of her caravans into the large territory under Solomon's control.

7. A chief of the tribe of Gad who lived in Gilead in Bashan during the reign of Jeroboam II of Israel (1 Chron 5:13).

Who is Dedan?

DEDAN

[DEE dun] (low) - the name of two men and a geographical region in the Bible:

1. A descendant of Cush (Gen 10:7; 1 Chron 1:9).

2. A son of Jokshan and a grandson of Abraham and Keturah (Gen 25:3; 1 Chron 1:32).

3. A district near Edom and the Dead Sea (Jer 25:23; Ezek 25:13; 27:15).

Who are the Merhants of Tarshish?

TARSHISH

[TAR shish] (yellow jasper) - the name of a type of ship, a city or territory, a man, and a precious stone in the Old Testament:

1. The Hebrew name for a type of cargo ship fitted for long sea voyages (1 Kings 10:22; Tharshish, KJV).

2. A city or territory in the western portion of the Mediterranean Sea with which the Phoenicians traded (2 Chron 9:21; Ps 72:10). Tarshish is believed to be modern Tartessus, in southern Spain, near Gibraltar. When the prophet Jonah fled from God's instruction to go to Nineveh, he boarded a ship bound for Tarshish, in the opposite direction from Nineveh (Jonah 1:3; 4:2). Tarshish was famous for its ships (Ps 48:7; Isa 2:16) which carried gold, silver, iron, tin, lead, ivory, apes, and monkeys (1 Kings 10:22; Jer 10:9).

Because the ships of Tarshish carried such great riches, they became symbols of wealth, power, and pride. When God judged the nations for their sinful ways, He destroyed their "ships of Tarshish" to humble them and to demonstrate His great power (2 Chron 20:35-37; Isa 2:16-17).

3. A high official at SHUSHAN (Susa). He was one of seven princes of Persia and Media "who had access to the king's presence" (Est 1:14). Tarshish was one of those present at the royal banquet of King Ahasuerus which Vashti, the queen, refused to attend.

4. The Hebrew name of a precious stone (Ex 28:20; Ezek 28:13). Its brilliant color is associated with the glorious appearance of God Himself (Ezek 1:16; Dan 10:6). Also see JEWELS AND PRECIOUS STONES.

Let us read verse 13 again.

Who are "all the young lions thereof"?

OT:3715

kephiyr (kef-eer'); from OT:3722; a village (as covered in by walls); also a young lion (perhaps as covered with a mane):

KJV - (young) lion, village. Compare OT:3723.

OT:3722

OT:3723

kaphar (kaw-fawr'); from OT:3722; a village (as protected by walls): -village. Compare OT:3715.

(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Note that these people referred to as "young lions" are "covered in by walls" (in other words, hidden maybe even in plain sight), whereas (as in verse 11) they have come to attack "the land of unwalled villages", which means, basically, easy access.

Also, consider 'OT:3722' figuratively, to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel.

Who is speaking to whom here?

"Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee,"

This is "Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof" asking these terroists from "Gog", " Meshech and Tubal", "a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords", "Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya", "Gomer, and all his bands", "the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands", and "many people with thee", if they are planning to do these things to the United States.

Why are these so interested in what Gog and those terrorists are going to do to America?

Is it in their minds to assist these terroists?

Or, are they interested in their plans so that they can prepare for the war that will soon follow such an attack?

"Art thou come to take a spoil?"

"hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey?"

"to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?"

OT:7998

shalal (shaw-lawl'); from OT:7997; booty:

KJV - prey, spoil.

OT:7997

shalal (shaw-lal'); a primitive root; to drop or strip; by implication, to plunder:

KJV - let fall, makeself a prey, of purpose, (make a, [take]) spoil.

Ezek 38

14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

How shall Gog and his conferacy of terrorists know when we are at ease, feeling as though we are safe in our own country again?

They shall know, because they are living amongst us.

And, because they are living here amongst us, they shall know the most opprtune time to attack us.

When is that?

It is when the nation's eyes are focused on something that affects all in this country.

One example of a time of opportunity would be on Election Day, when people are busy voting and watching the results of the returns.

Another would be on Holy Days, or governmental holidays.

Where has YHVH placed, in these end times, the vast amount of "my people of Israel"?

Who is in ultimate control of these events?

YHVH is.

"it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land,"

Why would FATHER allow these things to occur?

"that the heathen may know me"

This country has allowed every perversion to prosper througout this land that calls itself a Christian nation.

FATHER has given us the best of every thing, and we have spit in HIS eye for the blessings HE had bestowed upon us.

YHVH is not happy with that which we have done with HIS blessings.

Our very laws and lawmakers have given the terrorists the capability and the opportunity to do harm against us.

And, YHVH allows these things to occur, in an effort to awaken us to that which we have done.

Now let us turn to the Book of Revelations.

Rev 12:1-17

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Rev 12:

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

"a thousand two hundred and threescore days"

1260 days is 3.45 years.

1277.5 days = 3.5 years

17.5 days is the difference between 3.45 years and 3.5 years...in other words, half way between 17 and 18.

Seventeen = Victory

Eighteen = Bondage

Rev 12:

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Note that Satan and his fallen angels are "cast out into the earth", not yet "onto the earth".

In other words, Satan and his fallen angels are not yet visible to flesh men.

Where are they?

They are being held in the "bottomless pit".

Rev 9:1-12

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.

8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.

9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. KJV

Remember, the fifth trump (first "woe") tells us of the time of the stinging of men's minds, by the 'evil spirits' of the yet unseen Satan and the fallen angels, as they reside in the bottomless pit.

Whereas, the 6th trump tells us of the time when they are visibly before flesh men, although their true intentions are still not apparent to the majority of the world.

Rev 12:

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Rev 12:

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

Rev 12:

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Rev 12:

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

Now, let us compre the "water" (likened unto a "flood") in Revelations 12:15 unto Ezekiel 38:9.

Ezek 38:

9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee

In Ezekiel 39:9:

"a storm"

(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

YHVH has ultimate control of both Satan (with his fallen angels) and Gog (and his conferates of terrorists).

Let us look to that which was written in Ezekiel 38:10.

Ezek 38:10

10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

Therefore, we can see that it is the 'evil spirits' of Satan and the fallen angels which implant the "evil thought" into the minds of Gog and his fellow terrorists.

Rev 12:

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

The whole world becomes involved after the terrorists have attacked the United States.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. KJV

Verse 17 tells us of the time when Satan's fallen angels shall arrive in the sight of man.

{Remember, when they arrive, they shall be diguised as great men out of every religion and culture.}

Ezek 38

18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.

FATHER'S anger is not finished at the time when Gog and his fellow terrorists attack.

In fact, HIS Plan, for the last days, only begins with the attack by Gog and the terrorists.

So, what happens next?

Ezek 38

19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

"in the land of Israel"...note this says "in the land of Israel"

This "great shaking in the land of Israel" speaks of the shaking up and shaking awake all of the peoples of Israel, and all the nations (countries) where the children of Israel dwell.

In other words, the Christian nations, plus the nations where Judah and Benjamin occupy, shall be awakened by the this attack on the United States.

Ezek 38

20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

Do these things which YYVH causes to occur remind you of the 10 plagues of Egypt?

PLAGUES OF EGYPT

The series of afflictions used by God to break the will of Pharaoh and to bring about the release of the Hebrew people from slavery in Egypt.

After the Hebrews had been in Egypt for about 400 years, "there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph" (Ex 1:8). This new king enslaved the Hebrews and forced them to labor in his extensive building projects (Ex 5:7-19). When the Hebrews cried out for deliverance, God sent Moses to lead them from bondage. The Pharaoh resisted the release of the Hebrew people. The plagues of Egypt occurred as God's action to change the mind of the Pharaoh, thus bringing the Hebrew's freedom.

A total of ten plagues occurred. Scholars generally agree that the first nine plagues were regular, natural occurrences in Egypt. They were remarkable only in their intensity and in the timing with which they happened. But this does not mean that they were purely natural phenomena. They were miraculous in that God used natural forces to achieve His purpose. A sovereign God can use whatever methods He chooses to bring about a miracle. The method does not diminish the miraculous nature of the occurrence.

The tenth plague, the death of the firstborn of Egypt, was altogether supernatural. There is no known natural phenomenon closely related to this plague.

The sequence of the plagues has been studied and compared with the observations of travelers to Egypt. Many scholars point out that the first nine plagues are logical consequences of an unusually high flooding of the NILE RIVER. Such flooding usually occurred in July, August, and September. Based on the best estimates that can be made from the biblical account, the plagues probably occurred over a period of about seven to nine months, beginning in July or August and continuing until around April or May.

The plagues may be viewed as God's intervention to seek the release of the Hebrew people. They also represented God's challenge to the Egyptian religious system. To the Egyptians, the Nile River was a god. From it came the power and life of the Egyptian culture. They worshiped the Nile and the abundance of resources that it provided. Since the first nine plagues seem to be a natural progression of God's attack on the Nile River, all of these plagues relate to God's challenge to the Egyptian religious system.
