Revelations 17: Deadly Wound

Rev 17:1-8
1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

What is this word "
whore"?
4204 porne (por'-nay);
feminine of 4205; a strumpet; figuratively, an idolater:
KJV-- harlot, whore.
4205 pornos (por'-nos); from pernemi (to sell; akin to the base of 4097); a (male) prostitute (as venal), i.e. (by analogy) a debauchee (libertine):
KJV-- fornicator, whoremonger.
4097 piprasko (pip-ras'-ko);
a reduplicated and prolonged form of prao (prah'-o); (which occurs only as an alternate in certain tenses); contracted from perao (to traverse; from the base of 4008); to traffic (by travelling), i.e. dispose of as merchandise or into slavery (literally or figuratively):
KJV-- sell.
(Strong's)

4204 porne-
1) a woman who sells her body for sexual uses
a) a prostitute, a harlot, one who yields herself to defilement for the sake of gain
b) any woman indulging in unlawful sexual intercourse, whether for gain or for lust
2) metaphorically, an idolatress;
used of "Babylon", that is, Rome, the chief seat of idolatry
4205 pornos-
1) a man who prostitutes his body to another's lust for hire
2) a male prostitute
3) a man who indulges in unlawful sexual intercourse, a fornicator
4097 piprasko-
1) to sell:
a) used of price, one into slavery
b) used of the master to whom one is sold as a slave
2) metaphorically:
a) sold under sin, entirely under the control of the love of sinning
b) used of one bribed to give himself up wholly to another's will
(Thayer's)

This use of the word "
whore" refers to 'idolatry'.
Therefore this "
woman" has become an 'idolatrous woman'.
And, since verse 18 tells who this woman represents, then we should be able to see that 'Jerusalem', "
that great city", is being likened unto a woman who has become religiously and politically idolatrous.

Rev 17:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

In verse 2, we can see "
the kings of the earth" who are not the same as these "ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast" in verse 12.

But, even before the supernatural entities arrive, Jerusalem has become as an idolater (spiritually)... a spiritual whore.

Which governments in the earth has not attempted to mess with Jerusalem? They all have... each with their own agenda, and claims upon her.

And, she has allowed it.

(The government in Israel is as much at fault as those who have used Israel.)
Even all the other 'religions' in the world have made claims upon her.
And, remember, this government that is there now is both 'good figs' and 'bad figs'.

Rev 17:
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and
filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

This word "
admiration" should read 'marvel', as in astonishment.

Rev 17:
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

We do not have to guess, because FATHER is letting know what is what and who is who.

Rev 17:
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Rev 17:
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

The word "
mountains" is an analogy used to represent 'governments', 'kingdoms', and / or 'nations'.
This analogy comes from the fact that a 'mountain' is lifted up higher and above the
surrounding land or plain, in the same manner that 'governments/kingdoms/nations' rise above the people, thereby having the vantage point to oversee the people.
These 'governments/kingdoms/nations' have laws which they use to oversee the people.

Rev 17:
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

The word "
kings" refers to 'kingdoms' , as in a sovereign rule or foundation, and not individual man / kings.
935 basileus (bas-il-yooce');
probably from 939 (through the notion of a foundation of power); a sovereign (abstractly, relatively, or figuratively):
KJV-- king.
939 basis (bas'-ece); from baino (to walk); a pace ("base"), i.e. (by implication) the foot:
KJV-- foot.
(Strong's)

935 basileus-
a leader of the people, a prince, a commander, a lord of the land, a king
939 basis-
1) a stepping, a walking
2) that with which one steps, the foot
(Thayer's)

Again, this word "
kings" directly refers to 'kingdoms': (through the notion of a foundation of power); a sovereign.

Now, we have looked at these 'kingdoms' which have ruled over Jerusalem:

Five fallen: (the words "are fallen" refers to 'the loss of power to reign')

1. Babylon
2. Medio-Persia
3. Greece
4. Rome
5. Mohammedans

One is:
6. The good and bad figs (True Judah and spurious Judah [Kenites])

Rev 17:
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

Satan's "
beast" government is the 7th government/kingdom which shall have rule over Jerusalem, and from Jerusalem, the world.
We can see this in Revelations 19:20, and that which shall become of this government.
We are also told of Satan's 'most unholy spirit' (the false prophet), and it's end.

Rev 19:20
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (KJV)

The ultimate "
false prophet" is Satan's most unholy spirit, which he uses upon the minds of his servants (fallen angels and some flesh men), and he uses to influence all who are deceived of him.
As is Satan's method of operation, mimicking YHVH, this 'most unholy spirit' disguised as being YHVH'S HOLY SPIRIT.
How does this work?
It works on Satan's servants in similar manner as YHVH'S HOLY SPIRIT works and shall work upon HIS servants.

The "
eighth" is Satan, himself, stripped of all his disguises and roles, plus all those who would rather be 'blotted out' than to live by YHVH'S Law. The 'king of perdition' and his government of people shall be blotted out in the "lake of fire" at the end of the LORD'S DAY.

Rev 17:
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

These same "
ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings" were spoken of in Daniel.

These 'ten horns/ten kings' "
have received no kingdom as yet".
And, because these have not received a kingdom yet, this can not refer to flesh 'kings' in the earth today.
Who are these 'ten horns/ten kings' which shall have "
power as kings" (power to rule and lead) for the "one hour" with the "beast", Satan political/religious 'beast'?

These are the ten supernatural entities which come disguised as 'kings/prophets' of old times.
These are the 'ten toes' on which Satan political/religious beastly image/government
stands upon.
It is these 'toes' which give balance to the feet of this top heavy 'image' spoken of in
Daniel, allowing it to stand.
And they are the 'iron' of the 'iron mixed with miry clay' on this political/religious
image/beast.
Without the miry clay clinging to the iron of the toes, Satan's government would be
unsuccessful from the start.
This 'clay' speaks of flesh men. And, the fact that it is miry clay indicates that these flesh men are not completely spiritually dry yet. But, they have a little 'moisture/truth' from YHVH'S Word, but not enough to keep them from being deceived and clinging to these spurious supernatural entities.

Dan 2:31-45
31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.
32 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces
together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom,
power, and strength, and glory.
38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. (KJV)

Rev 17:
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

These ten supernatural, spurious kings/prophets are all of the same way of thinking. That is, they all think upon Satan as their 'King/God'; and their will is to do Satan's will. They give all their power and strength to Satan's government/kingdom which they are 'setting up'. This is evidence of Satan's most unholy spirit.

Now, we know, from Revelations 12 and 13, that these "
ten horns" have "crowns" "upon his horns".
"
seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy"
These "
horns" refer to 'strength, courage, and power'. And the "crowns" upon their "horns" ('strength, courage, and power') are an outward sign of 'royalty' and symbolizing 'honor'.
These "
crowns" also refer to a 'binding' as with 'chains'.
So, outwardly they appear (are disguised) as honorable men of old, but they are actually 'bound in chains' for that which they had evilly done.

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. (KJV)

These specific "
angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation"
speaks of 'fallen Elohiym'. They had high positions in YHVH'S Kingdom in the 1st age, but then followed after Satan.
And, they come disguised as YHVH'S renown Saints and Kings, and disguised as the saints and kings that all the other 'religions' would recognize, in order to bring all the world into worshipping the 'God' that they shall be teaching, and that being the spurious 'Jesus/King/God'.

Satan, himself (disguised as 'Jesus/King/God'), is not visible on the earth when these 10 supernaturals first arrive.

Rev 17:
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

The LAMB is not visible upon the earth in the sight of flesh men at this time, but those who shall carry HIS HOLY WORD are. And, HIS HOLY SPIRIT shall be upon these servants.

It is these ten supernatural spurious prophets/kings which shall gather, teach, and cause the deceive people of the world to make war (spiritual warfare) against those of YHVH'S servants who carry forth the LAMB, HIS TRUTH...HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

YAHSHUA is "
Lord of lords, and King of kings".

In Matthew 20:16, we can see "
for many be called, but few chosen".
In Revelations 17:14, those who remain in HIM are not only "
called, and chosen", but also, "faithful".

Rev 17:
15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are
peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

This is an analogy we have looked at before in Noah's time:
"
The waters" = "peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues"

16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

"
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore"
We must remember that these "
ten horns" (10 supernatural spurious prophets/kings) shall be pulling one of the biggest deceptions ever. So, of course they shall appear to "hate the whore". Jerusalem literally means 'the teaching of peace', YHVH'S Peace, which only comes through HIS HOLY Word.
These fallen angels shall hate the 'teaching of YHVH'S Peace, the teaching of HIS Word'.
These also "
shall hate the whore", this city, because this is YHVH'S most favorite place, HIS chosen place where HE shall dwell in the Eternity.

What is this word "
whore"?
4204 porne (por'-nay);
feminine of 4205; a strumpet; figuratively, an idolater:
KJV-- harlot, whore.
4205 pornos (por'-nos);
from pernemi (to sell; akin to the base of 4097); a (male) prostitute (as venal), i.e. (by
analogy) a debauchee (libertine):
KJV-- fornicator, whoremonger.
4097 piprasko (pip-ras'-ko);
a reduplicated and prolonged form of prao (prah'-o); (which occurs only as an alternate in certain tenses); contracted from perao (to traverse; from the base of 4008); to traffic (by travelling), i.e. dispose of as merchandise or into slavery (literally or figuratively):
KJV-- sell.

This use of the word "
whore" refers to 'idolatry'.
Therefore this "
woman" has become an 'idolatrous woman'.
And, since verse 18 speaks of what this woman represents, then we should be able to see that 'Jerusalem', "
that great city", is being likened unto a woman who has become religiously idolatrous. [This was repeated for emphasis.]

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

WHO is in ultimate control of all these things? YHVH is.
There is no new thing under the sun.....
As FATHER caused events to come about and hardened Pharaoh's heart, YHVH'S Will was done.
As FATHER allowed Nebuchadnezzar to rule, HE also caused Neb to dream the dream and have it fulfilled, so that YHVH'S Will would be done.
Why?
Because the children of Israel and their enemies all had need to experience YHVH'S
correction and wrath.

Again in this last generation, the scattered children of Israel and the whole world have
gone whoring after idols and the traditions of man and beasts, and are in need of correction through YHVH'S Wrath.
HIS children are sottish. They have wisdom not for good, but to do that which evil.
And, FATHER shall utilize whomever and whatever to bring correction to HIS children.
As the supernatural entities do Satan's work, they are doing exactly that which FATHER would have them do, so that YHVH'S children might finally learn their lessons.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Again, this "
great city" speaks of Jerusalem.
